Five Players that the Texans could draft at Pick 67

Hello Texans fans this will be my last article on this blog. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read these articles. Without further adieu let's get into this article . 1. Ifeatu Melifonwu CB Syracuse If the draft started today this would be my pick if I was the GM of the Texans. Melifonwu has everything the Texans are looking for in a CB. He's tall, fast and physical and a good tackler. He aligns with what Lovie Smith wants in his CB's.  2. Payton Turner EDGE Houston One of my favorite draft prosepcts this year is Payton Turner. Turner has great length, power and motor at the EDGE position. He could stay at home and one day become Houston's next great all time edge rusher. 3. Nico Collins WR Michigan After the loss of Will Fuller this off-season the Texans really could use some help at the WR position. Collins is a big, fast athletic receiver who could become a QB's best friend. Collins would fit nicely with the current Texans WR group. 4. Pat Fre...

Examining the Texans Depth Chart on Defense Post Free Agency

Last week we took a look at the Texans depth chart on offense, this week we'll shift over to the defensive side and examine that.   Defensive Line - Charles Omenihu , Ross Blacklock , Maliek Collins , Shaq Lawson , Brandon Dunn, Jaleel Johnson , Derek Rivers , Vincent Taylor, Auzoyah Alufohai This group looks vastly different without JJ Watt who the Texans will miss dearly. Omenihu, Lawson and Collins should start in the new Texans 4-3 defense under Lovie Smith. Blacklock, Dunn and the others should compete for the other remaining spots.   Linebackers - Whitney Mercilus, Zach Cunningham , Kamu Grugier Hill , Jordan Jenkins, Christian Kirksey, Kevin Pierre Louis, Jon Greenard, Jacob Martin , Tae Davis, Joe Thomas, Nate Hall, Duke Ejiofor, Hardy Nickerson Jr This group saw a lot of new additions in free agency. Cunnigham ,Mercilus, Kirksey are pretty much set to start while Hill, Jenkins , Louis, Greenard and Martin should compete for depth spots. The remainin...

Examining the Texans Depth Chart on Offense Post Free Agency

Hello Texans fans today we will be taking a look at the Texans depth chart on offense following free agency.   QB - Deshaun Watson , Tyrod Taylor , Ryan Finley There are quite a lot of questions surrounding the Texans at the quarterback position in regard to the Deshaun Watson trade rumors and sexual misconduct lawsuits. The Texans were wise to bring in Tyrod Taylor who is a strong leader and fierce competitor and will most likely start for the Texans this year. Ryan Finley is also someone who has great traits and is a fine backup.   RB - David Johnson, Mark Ingram, Phillip Lindsay, Buddy Howell, Dontrell Hilliard, Scottie Phillips The Texans had quite the overhaul here bringing in Ingram and Lindsay who should help this stagnant run game. David Johnson also returns and showed some promise towards the end of the season. Howell, Hilliard, and Phillips should compete for a special teams’ spot or on the practice squad.   WR - Brandin Cooks , Randall Cobb , Keke Coutee, Isaia...
